God Goes Before Us

What a wonderful and encouraging truth to know!! Do you ever ask Him to go before you preparing your way? Do you ever ask Him to prepare you to go His way. Do you ever ask Him to lead you and guide you? Do you ever ask Him what to do and say next? An unbeliever will NEVER ask Him these things. A wise believer will know that God always knows best and will always ask Him for these things.

Deuteronomy 9:3: Understand therefore this day, that the LORD thy God is he which goeth over before thee; as a consuming fire he shall destroy them, and he shall bring them down before thy face: so shalt thou drive them out, and destroy them quickly, as the LORD hath said unto thee.

Exodus 23:20: Behold, I send an Angel before thee, to keep thee in the way, and to bring thee into the place which I have prepared.

2 Chronicles 29:36: And Hezekiah rejoiced, and all the people, that God had prepared the people: for the thing was done suddenly.

Joshua 1:3: Every place that the sole of your foot shall tread upon, that have I given unto you, as I said unto Moses.

Ephesians 2:10: For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

John 10:27: My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:

Psalms 23:1-3: The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. 2 He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. 3 He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name*s sake.

Psalms 5:8: Lead me, O LORD, in thy righteousness because of mine enemies; make thy way straight before my face.

Psalms 31:3: For thou art my rock and my fortress; therefore for thy name*s sake lead me, and guide me.

Proverbs 8:20: I lead in the way of righteousness, in the midst of the paths of judgment:

Sometimes He wants us to be still, sometimes He wants us to rest, sometimes He wants us to wait on Him and sometimes He wants us to stop fretting. The being still, the resting, the waiting on Him and the stop fretting must often come before the leading and the following.

Psalms 46:10: Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.

Psalms 37:7, 9: Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for him: fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass. 9 For evildoers shall be cut off: but those that wait upon the LORD, they shall inherit the earth.
